Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d Name a Pet After (+ Some Specific Animals For Each Name)

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Like naming newborn human babies, I find naming pets to be a little nerve-wracking and even quite personal because, even though they’re animals, you’ll be bestowing them with a name that they will familiarize and associate themselves with.

I refuse to believe Halloween is canceled this year just because I don’t have any opportunities or can’t find any excuse to dress up. After all, there’s nothing wrong with staying safe at home, and celebrating with some spooky reads, horror movies, and a whole lot of candy.

Still, in the spirit of the season, I decided to take the Halloween freebie for Top Ten Tuesday to list down just some of the bookish characters I’d want to dress up as in the future. It’s a mix of easy, convenient costumes and extravagant ensembles. Check out my choices below!

Despite horror being my ultimate favorite genre, I’ve only started delving into horror books this year. I’ve read some every now and then over the last couple of years, but the obsession has definitely spiked after discovering the online horror community.

My endless TBR just keeps getting bigger everyday, but I’m honestly not complaining; especially not with all these creepy reads I can’t wait to dive into!
